Patty is about a year old in these photos. She's turned out to be quite a trooper...she's never been crazy about being held, but she loves being around us and the dogs. She knows her name and comes when called, and has her regular routing. She also is sort of "the Queen" around the hen house, and takes her own bed and housing where she wants it.
Here's Patty (foreground), with her sister Emma (behind), and Bridgette (poodle). They all get along so well, it's amazing. There were only 2 chickens living here at this time.
Patty always comes running to the back deck when she sees that we're out lounging around. If we're grilling out, she expects some of whatever we're eating.
Not her favorite thing, but she will let Debbie pick her up and hold her. Patty is more like a cat...she likes to come to you if she feels like it, but doesnt really want someone reaching for her unless it's on her terms :-)
