We monitor the temp remotely in the coop, year-round. At about 90°f, our domestic birds begin to overheat and hassle. I don't want this coop below about 33ish in the winter to keep their feet and combs free of frost bite. I use this little cheapie remote thermometer from Walmart to monitor this. The coop has fans for summer to keep their body heat pushed out, and thermostatically controlled heat in the winter. They live like Queens (and 1 King) !
